Operation Design showcased the NYED initiative student and architects’ designs at “Gathering on Greene” to kick off Design Week 2007. For the event, Greene Street was closed to traffic, carpeted from Houston to Prince Streets, and select SoHo retailers kept their doors and businesses open to celebrate design of all types. A special tent featured the classroom designs from the UASDC. Students had the opportunity to discuss their projects with the press and passers-by alike. This was the official public launch for Operation Design’s NYED initiative.

Sponsors included City Magazine, Interface Flor, Audi and W Hotels. Celebrity DJ Beverly Bond provided the music.
